Never let it be said that Brother Foerster hasn’t put his BA in Business Administration to use – he currently owns three businesses, is the acting director of a bank and a successful inventor. Of course, it’s not always just business for Brother Foerster. Staying true to his roots, he still remains an active alumnus of both DU and the Beta-Omicron Chapter. As an undergraduate, Brother Foerster won the Beta-Omicron Outstanding Senior Award thanks to his diligent efforts in improving his own life and the life of his many brothers, and after graduating became an assistant alumni adviser and a member of the House Corporation. Furthermore, he was the National President of the DU Alumni Association and the Chairman of the Class of 1952’s 50-year Anniversary. Brother Foerster might be best known professionally as the inventor of the many products like the EZ-T Fastner, EZ-T Speed Driver, EZ-T Clipper, EZ-T Nut Caps and the Zip-Nut, spawning the EZ-T Fastener Company. He has not stopped inventing products either. Brother Foerster has just patented a new product called the Roll-A-Way Window, a window-covering product that may revolutionize the industry. In addition, he founded the Foerster Furniture Company 42 years ago and Interior Designs Supply 12 years ago, both of which he owns and operates to this day. He’s also been the Director of First Federal Savings Bank for the past 25 years. All of this would seem to leave little time for community activities, but nothing could be further from the truth. Brother Foerster has selflessly given time to the many community organizations close to his heart. He’s an active member of the Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church, the president of the Cherry Hills Metropolitan District (a position he’s held for 17 years). He’s also a scoutmaster with his local Boy Scouts Chapter, the Director of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce and President of the Denver Executive Club. Clearly, Brother Foerster likes taking charge. Amazingly enough, he still finds time to be a family man. He has been married to his wife, Mary Lou, for 40 years and has two children, Richard and Linda June Cevaal. He also has nine grandchildren. While hard work and a quality education are two main reasons Brother Foerster has been such a success in the business world, he gives a great amount of credit to his time in the Beta-Omicron Chapter.
